About 99 Fuegos

99 Fuegos is a project by Javier Agostinelli and Federico Rozo, born in the Viñas del Aconcagua winery located 900 meters above sea level, the ancient epicenter of the Huarpe community, together with Alberto Giache, who expresses the talent of his work in these vines, the result being a careful wine, of small production and great quality.

Almost a century ago, the Giache family arrived in Argentina from the Ancona region in Italy hoping to apply their experience in agriculture. They moved around the country until the mid-1940s, when Ramón the Giache’s son, started his wine production in Mendoza. Today, Alberto Giache, Ramon’s son, continues the tradition of love and dedication to his vineyards at Viñas del Aconcagua.

At the beginning of the XX century, Don Quinto Agostinelli arrived in Buenos Aires also from Ancona, to work at the Hotel Alvear, an icon of Buenos Aires’ hotel and haute cuisine industry – circa 1940 -. His son Jorge was fundamental in the development of Argentinean haute cuisine market through selling gourmet products for decades. Currently, Javier, Don Quinto’s grandson, continues to defend the values of haute cuisine as part of a project that shows the results of the efforts of three generations of Italian immigrants.
